denkmal 2020: A Wealth of Cultural Heritage in an Exhibition and Conference Programme – This year's denkmal will take place as planned from 5 to 7 November 2020 at the Leipzig Trade Fair. In spite of the ongoing corona pandemic, the industry is very enthusiastic. Many national and international exhibitors have registered and the conference programme features high-calibre events covering a wide range of topics from the fields of monument preservation and restoration. A hygiene concept has been tailored especially for denkmal to ensure the health and safety of all those involved.
denkmal 2020: Advisory Board Extremely Pleased with Approved Hygiene Concept – As denkmal 2020 approaches, Europe's leading trade fair for conservation, restoration and old building renovation has reached three important milestones. With the Corona Protection Ordinance of 3 June 2020 issued by the Saxon state government, which expressly permits trade fairs and congresses with an approved hygiene concept, the first important step was taken. Leipziger Messe then took the second step in developing these concepts. They have been examined and approved by the Public Health Office of the City of Leipzig. The third important milestone was achieved when the denkmal advisory board expressly declared itself in support of denkmal 2020 and praised the protective measures that had been developed.
denkmal 2020: Bringing Together National and International Experts – The conservation of cultural heritage is entrusted to people and companies from a wide range of sectors - from specialist manufacturers, craftsmen and restorers to volunteers and political stakeholders. From 5 to 7 November 2020, national and international experts in the field of monument preservation and restoration will gather at denkmal, Europe's leading trade fair, in Leipzig. Now in its 14th year, it will combine a vibrant exhibition with a high-calibre conference programme, which is rightly regarded as the most comprehensive training event in the entire industry.
denkmal and MUTEC Fairs climb to new heights – With an extremely successful 14,200 visitor record, the 13th Leading European trade fair denkmal and the parallel international trade fair MUTEC ended on 10 November 2018. "With an enormous response from exhibitors, visitors and experts from Germany and abroad, denkmal was able to further expand its position as the leading European trade fair this year. It is undoubtedly the technical linchpin for the preservation of Europe's cultural heritage and this year provided strong economic and political impetus," explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. "Together with MUTEC, which has established itself as an important date for museum and cultural facility operators, denkmal forms a trade fair network for cultural heritage and cultural assets that is unique in Europe". This year, the trade fair association recorded an all-time high with over 550 exhibitors from 20 countries.
